Alessi was founded in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi on the shores of Lake Orta in Italy. The initial ideas of well-conceived and well-made products remain the foundation of the business.  The Bulbul kettle, designed by Achille Castiglioni, is part of the collection of unpublished objects that celebrate the 100th anniversary.
