The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) 2024 takes place at the Javits Centre during the NYCxDESIGN citywide design festival. Aiming to connect the global design community, the 35th edition of ICFF hosts 350 exhibitors from 35 countries. Highlights include the second edition of Crossroads, the collaboration between the brand directors of ICFF, with the theme of sustainability in the context of craft traditions.
New this year, ‘Bespoke: The Art of Making’ showcases craftsmanship. WANTED is dedicated to emerging design and features ‘LAUNCHPAD’, a platform for international emerging designers from 17 countries, and ‘The Library’ in partnership with Phaidon.
This year, the theme for the New York design festival NYCxDESIGN is ‘Design is all around us’. The festival features hundreds of design events, from exhibits to trade shows to talks and tours, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees from around the world.
Design districts taking part in NYCxDESIGN include the Flatiron NoMad Improvement District, which hosts the public art installation, and the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District, which hosts the second annual Madison Avenue Design Week. On 18th May, the SoHo Design District celebrates its 10th anniversary with its ‘Soho Design Day Out’, and the Brooklyn Navy Yard sponsors the second annual Design Day at the Yard.
