Blue Crow Media has published the Modern Brussels Map (Carte Bruxelles Moderne) covering 56 buildings built between 1910 and 1990, with an introduction and research by Brussels-based architectural historian and guide Jacinthe Gigou. The double-sided guide is presented in English and French.
Featured architects and designers include Henry Van de Velde, Paul Amaury Michel, Renaat Braem, René Stapels, Victor Bourgeois, and Constantin Brodzki. Some building highlights include La Royale Belge, Maison de Verre, CBR, and Atelier Jespers.
The map presents the city from the origins of Modernism through Style 58 and Brutalism to Postmodernism and includes lesser-known examples of Modern architecture in Brussels. It covers office blocks, private houses, metro stations, and universities, and includes examples of 20th-century garden design and sculptures. Blue Crow Media
