Poul Henningsen, the influential Danish designer and architect, working with Louis Poulsen, the Danish lighting manufacturer, designed the PH Artichoke for a modernist Copenhagen restaurant in 1958. The distinctive pendant light with its 72 ‘leaves’, is still in use at the restaurant, the Langelinie Pavilion. Louis Poulsen
