Stockholm Design Week 2024 features events, exhibitions and open showrooms, coinciding with Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024, welcoming design professionals and the public from around the world.
This year, the Stockholm Furniture Fair presents a series of exhibitions addressing shifts in design and architecture.
Formafantasma’s Guest of Honour installation, ‘Reading Room’, focuses on the design process and transformative knowledge. The Swedish practice Jordens Arkitektur, recognised for their commitment to social and environmental responsibility in architecture, has temporarily relocated their practice to the fair, forming the Farming Architects ‘exhibit’. Folkform’s The Museum of Masonite offer insight into local production and sustainable practices.
Other exhibitions at the fair include New Ventures, featuring young design brands, and Älvsjö Gård, showcasing small-scale, experimental and limited edition design. Additionally, the second edition of the Scandinavian Design Awards will be held at the Musikaliska Kvarteret on 6 February 2024. Stockholm Design Week | Stockholm Furniture Fair
